Who we are
Kirkdale Digital is the data controller for Binah. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@getbinah.co.uk.
What data we collect
When you create an account and use Binah, we collect:
- Your email address and an encrypted version of your password
- Financial data you enter into the app, including budgets, transactions, assets and debts
- Subscription and purchase information, processed by RevenueCat on our behalf
- Basic usage data needed to operate the service, such as your account creation date and last login
We do not collect your name, address, bank account details or payment card information. All financial data you enter is data you choose to provide.
Why we collect it
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your Binah account
- Provide the budgeting and net worth features of the app
- Process your subscription via RevenueCat
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
Third parties
We share limited data with the following third parties where necessary to operate the service:
- RevenueCat: subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat processes your Apple ID purchase receipt to confirm your subscription status.
- Apple: Binah is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple's own privacy policy governs data collected at the platform level.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Security
Your data is stored on servers in the European Union. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you via the app or by email.
